Abstract: The security of all public key cryptography in use today is supported on the hardness of factoring and finding discrete logarithms. This assumptions is no longer valid in the presence of quantum computers. Hence it is imperative to develop new cryptographic primitives based on assumptions that resist quantum computer attacks. The quest for new hard problems to support cryptographic constructions has yield new powerful functionalities such as fully homomorphic encryption. In this talk I will discuss about two pos-quantum alternatives: cryptography based on lattice theory, and based on multivariate polynomial equations. Agosto 1 de 2016.
